Understanding the Problem
Current products don’t support college socializing and the use of on-person belongings. A seat attachment provides instant rest and opportunity to keep up with students’ active lives.

Simple Interaction
The seat functions like a luggage handle. The button pulls pins out of holes in the crutch to slide the assembly between states.

Prototyping
Through small foam core models to drilled and nailed together wooden blocks, I worked out the scale and mechanics of the seat folding.
Form Development
Medical devices often look sterile and immobile. By following the form language of a sports brand, such as Salomon, the seat allows the user to feel mobilized. Rapid trace-paper sketches allows me to iterate forms quickly.
